Frequently Asked Questions

Is your company insured?

Yes we are fully insured. We understand that being a homeowner having an insured reputable company is of utmost importance.

When should I start up my system?

It is best to wait for the weather to break and to be sure the temperatures will stay above freezing. Start Ups are typically done in April, May and June but can be done anytime from March to October.

When should I get my system winterized?

Late September to Mid November is the best time to Winterize.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, we take all forms of payment.

When am I expected to pay?

Payment is due on completion of job.

Timer is plugged in but there is no power?

Usually this means your GFI is tripped and the fix is as simple as pushing the reset button on your outlet. If that does not solve the problem your transformer may be bad and need replacing.

System keeps running after cycle?

Check your timer settings - Go to start times and make sure only one time is set.  Each zone does not need its own start time.

One zone keeps running, even when timer is off?

The zone valve bleeder screw or solenoid may be open. If closing does not solve the problem there may be something stuck inside the valve or the diaphragm is worn out.

When is drip irrigation needed?

Drip irrigation is used for root based watering  and is great for certain planting types.

Is it possible to water potted plants?

Yes, with micro irrigation it is possible to water potted plants, window boxes, second story patios or balconies.

What is a Rust Prevention System?

If you are getting rust staining on your house, driveway, walks or hardscape, this means you have a high volume of iron coming from your well or water source. Install a Rid-O-Rust system to remove the iron and stop the stains.

Can you recommend a Sod Company or Landscaper who best suits my needs?

Yes, we can recommend a company in your area that will be best for your style of job and budget.

Water is running when it shouldn't be... How do I stop it?

Find the shut off valve that goes to your sprinklers only and shut it off. If you cannot find, then shut off water to your entire house and call us right away.
